Continuing on the theme of custom vinyl toys(http://p4design.onsugar.com/2803809) here is another recent commission.
A small (3") dunny
-some of these photos were taken before I applied the clear coat, so disregard the texture which became invisible once I glossed this badboy up.

A friend asked me to paint a coffe mug bought from starbucks. It came with a "Blackboard" style base coat, and a white porcelain ink pen. After drying the mug is baked and the pen becomes cured and permanent (dishwasher safe)
With the result of this I can definitely see taking on more of these commissions, or even just buying a pile of mugs and making a set.
contact me if interested in this idea.

Back in the fall I was approached by Rubber Pixel studios to create a canvas to hang in their office.
I was given some basic ideas and input then developed a series of conceptual images for the clients to choose from.
I posted some of the canvas concepts in October, (posted here).
painted with oils, this was the largest brush painted canvas I've done to date (7' x 12')

I took a walk down to the local toy store and picked up two pvc 3" figures.
A dunny, and a debil(z)
The Debilz line is by one of my favorite french graffiti artists "MIST"
I was thinking I would paint over the toys if I got ones I didnt like, but I am rather happy with both of my surprise boxed pvc toys.
The two cashed in at about $20. at Voltage

-It's been an interesting month in the p4d lab. Two major computer failures in one week. One fried PC and a failed macboook screen.
I also started an internship this week. I'll be working with strutta.com for the next month collaborating on a few projects. this is my first internship, and I should have some interesting new projects to share in the next few weeks.
Here's the first of a few projects I'm going to have to rebuild thanks to losing my PC.
-If you've ever visited my main portfolio website, www.p4design.org then you've probably heard the site's soundtrack which was mostly composed by the UK producer Formula. (prev. 'unknown')
The following are some logo concepts I put down for my man in London.

A couple weeks back I did a promo event for Virgin Radio's launch/VIP party.
Pretty standard event for me, I painted outside for a few hours letting guests view the process of me painting this Virgin logo. I was given free reign beyond the logo element, so this was pretty fun to paint.
The contract came together very last minute, but it worked out alright in the end.
--There was some video online, but it's gone now, I'll have to see if I have it saved anywhere(ie. not on my fried PC)
